Over 1000 Books Rescued and Turned into Art by Jimmy Turrell
Art: Jimmy Turrell is a graphic artist from Newcastle. In 2016, he bought over 1000 books from eBay and later learned that they had been rescued just in time; otherwise, they would have ended up in a landfill. It was a harrowing day for the artist, since he received many boxes of books and it took him a year to sort them out. He decided to use the best quotes from the books and their covers as stunning pieces of artwork. Some of the books he rescued ranged from 1920s skiing manuals to books that belonged to a Norwegian royal family. He randomly selected quotes and printed art on them to make them look amazing. He has released the first series of book art, aptly named 'Unforsaken Part 1'. The artist says that it is still a work in progress. The first part has absolutely blown our minds, and we cannot wait to see what happens in the next series.
